You can’t achieve your goals as a leader without advocating for yourself and the issues that you hold dear.
In this course, we’ll tackle the tougher challenges that arise in thought leadership, like tokenization, negotiation, and fundraising—and give you the tools and resources to advocate for yourself, your work, and your comrades in an industry that still has a lot to learn when it comes to inclusion and equity.

Aisha Nyandoro
Aisha Nyandoro is on a mission to holistically and compassionately lift families out of cycles of poverty. She is the CEO of Springboard to Opportunities and founder of the Magnolia Mother's Trust, a guaranteed income program for single, black mothers—the first program of its kind in United States history. She has received multiple honors, including recognition as a fellow of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network and Ascend at the Aspen Institute.
Vanessa Valenti
FRESH Speakers co-founder & chief executive officer Vanessa Valenti is a New York City-born and based entrepreneur, writer, and speaker, who cut her teeth co-founding the award-winning online feminist publication, Feministing.com, in 2004. She went on to co-found Valenti Martin Media, a movement-building and communications consultancy that collaborates with social change organizations worldwide.
Joshunda Sanders
Joshunda Sanders is the author of several books and teaches writing at Lehman College. Her work has appeared in Oprah Daily, the Boston Globe, TIME, The New York Times and many other publications. She has received fellowships or residencies from Lambda Literary, Hedgebrook, Key West Literary Seminars and the Martha’s Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing. She lives and writes in the Bronx, NY, where she is from.
